Emerald Pool (Sra Morakot) is about 50 mins to an hour from Aonang or 40 mins from the airport. This pool is gorgeous especially considering the fact that it’s naturally this way and it was very relaxing to just float around and with crystal clear water.
Hot Springs are ‘hot tubs’ crafted into smooth rock channeling water from deep rooted thermal springs located in volcanic chambers. A natural hot stream flows through the jungle and then down several small waterfalls with some really cool rock formations that creates at least five “jacuzzis” before dropping into a colder little lake.
Wat Tham Sua also known as Tiger Cave Temple, is located about 3 kilometres from Krabi Town. The surrounding area is covered with large trees hundreds of years old, particularly in the Khiriwong Valley. Mountains are on all sides and there are smaller caves in great number. Inside the cave, there are things that appear as tiger paw prints in the stone. The main tourist attraction in the temple complex is the 1,272 steps climb up a limestone tower to see the “footprint of the Buddha”.
